Another thing I love seeing is the Augusteum. It is glorious even though some people would just say it is a pile of rocks. It is one of the quietest and lonely places in all of Rome. Rome just builds up around it, one inch a year in debris. It is beautiful and reminds myself that even through all the dirt, literally, something can still be beautiful and revered. A life lesson? Why, yes, I believe it is.
